ARMSTRONG AND THE SPALLUMACHEEN (map)
Armstrong and Spallumcheen are situated between the sunny, rolling Okanagan Valley and the cooler, forested Shuswap Valley. The name Spallumcheen is derived from the First Nations word meaning "beautiful valley", for obvious reasons. Spallumcheen is one of the finest agricultural areas in British Columbia, predominantly cloaked in rich green alfalfa and golden grains, with diverse farms nestled among pine-clad hillsides.
ENDERBY
Enderby is an idyllic community, nestled on the banks of the Shuswap River.
The surrounding area is a year-round paradise for outdoor recreation. An easy-walking par 3 golf course awaits, just 10 minutes north of Enderby. The Shuswap River, Mabel and Mara Lakes offer canoeists and kayakers miles of water to explore. The Larch Hills Cross Country Ski Area provides groomed trails for novice and advanced enthusiasts, as well as excellent hiking and cycling in the summer months. Snowmobilers will enjoy the Hunters Range trail system just east of Enderby.
FALKLAND (map)
Falkland is located on Highway 97 in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District. Although situated on the edges of the Okanagan and Shuswap regions of the Thompson Okanagan, Falkland is closer to the North Okanagan area.
Falkland is nestled at the confluence of three valleys and two rivers, the Salmon River and Bolean Creek, and is cradled by Tuktakamin Mountain to the south, and Estekawalan Mountain to the west.
LUMBY AND CHERRYVILLE (map)
The topography is varied, with rich farmland nestled between rolling, forested hills. Lumby is recognized as the forestry capital of the North Okanagan.
